Good Morning, Auburn Family. Members of the Tigers football team helped 450 of their biggest fans expand their knowledge Saturday at Auburn's annual Ladies Clinic at the Woltosz Football Performance Center. Head coach Hugh Freeze kicked off the event by taking pictures and signing autographs for each attendee.

After lunch, the campers rotated among five stations: offense, defense, special teams, equipment and strength and conditioning.

"Every drill is optional," said Freeze, drawing laughs.

Thankfully, all the campers participated in the drills without requiring a trip to the training room. They'll be back on campus Aug. 31 when Auburn hosts Alabama A&M for Kickoff on The Plains.

🔼 Clearing the Way For Success. Auburn freshman Ja'Kobe Tharp claimed the USATF U20 Championships title in the 110m hurdles Thursday in Eugene, Oregon, at the historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon. Tharp clocked a personal best of 13.12, which earned him a spot on Team USA to compete in the World Athletics U20 Championships, August 27-31 in Lima, Peru.

The Rockvale, Tennessee native will participate in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials later this month in the 110m hurdles with hopes of qualifying for Team USA. Trials will take place June 21-30 in Eugene. The first round of the men's 110m hurdles begins on June 24 at 7:05 p.m. CST.

🔼 Trial By Anything But Error. Seventeen Auburn swimmers traveled north to Indianapolis, Indiana, for the 2024 US Olympic Trials from June 15-23.
 
Morning qualifying heats will be streamed live on Peacock, evening heats will be broadcast on USA Network and finals will be carried on NBC and Peacock.

🔼 Pro Penta Doesn’t Disappoint. Making a splash in her first taste of professional softball, Auburn alumna Maddie Penta made her debut with Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball's AUX this week and quickly proved why she was a two-time All-American in the collegiate ranks.
 
Penta made three appearances and one start over the course of Series 1, totaling 216 points. She finished tied for fourth with six strikeouts over her 7.1 innings of work. She held opponents to a .280 average and posted a 1-0 record behind a 3.82 earned run average.

🔼 Hey DJ, Play That Softball. One of the rising stars in collegiate coaching, DJ Sanders, joins Auburn softball as an assistant coach, as announced by co-head coaches Chris and Kate Malveaux.
 
Sanders joins Auburn after spending last season as an assistant coach at Ole Miss where she worked with the Rebel offense. In her lone season with the Rebels, Sanders helped Ole Miss to 31 wins and an eighth straight NCAA Regional appearance. Sanders also had coaching stints with Memphis, Mississippi State and Missouri, bringing a wealth of playing knowledge both at the collegiate and professional levels.
