On the heels of the Auburn-Duke Challenge announcement, MBB was putting in the work

Good Morning, Auburn Family. With yesterday’s announcement that Auburn will travel to Duke in December for an SEC-ACC Challenge, it’s no wonder that the MBB team was standing on business bright and early Thursday morning at the Auburn Athletics Complex indoor practice facility.

This Week in Auburn Track and Field (6/11/24)

Head Track & Field coach Leroy Burrell sits down with Andy Burcham to look back at Auburn's performance at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

🔼 Boys of Summer. On Memorial Day, Auburn freshman Cade Belyeu hopped in his truck and drove 11 hours to Virginia, where a summer playing in the Valley Baseball League awaited.

After finishing his freshman season with a bang, the extra-base hits have kept on coming. In Belyeu's first eight games with the Charlottesville Tom Sox, where his teammates include fellow Auburn freshman Cale Stricklin, Belyeu has homered four times, doubled and tripled for an astounding 1.666 on-base plus slugging percentage.

"We'll have a blast and come back better than we were before," he said.

🔼 Bracing for Impact. After a successful career with the Georgia State Panthers in Atlanta, Auburn senior wide receiver Robert Lewis came to the Plains looking to make an immediate impact. He certainly had made a lasting one there, with a single-game record of 220 receiving yards on just six catches against Charlotte last fall; that effort included a 97-yard touchdown reception that also was a school record.

Lewis earned third-team All-Sun Belt recognition in 2023, along with a spot on the AD Honor Roll, and finished with 102 receptions for 1,323 yards and 14 touchdowns in his final season with the Panthers.

Even with all that success, Lewis was confident that transferring to Auburn was the best move for him to make for what he plans to do with football and after college.

Read “On the Plains With Robert Lewis” to hear him reflect on his short but meaningful time at Auburn and his post-grad aspirations.

🔼 “And For Our Next Song....” Move over, James Corden. Let’s take a moment to enjoy a bit of levity as the Auburn women’s golf crew treated us to a bit of “Cartpool” Karaoke over on X/Twitter.
