Good morning. Touring Auburn’s new Hall of Fame Club before Friday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony, Frank Thomas paused at its centerpiece, a plaque that highlights his achievements in the SEC and Major League Baseball.

“I know the Cooperstown plaque is special,” said Thomas, a 2014 National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee. “That one is even more special. It looks like the young Frank Thomas at Auburn, and I’m extremely proud of it.”

A tribute to the SEC’s first hall of famer, the club features 108 premium seats behind home plate at Hitchcock Field, along with 3,000 square feet of club space decorated with pictures from Thomas’ All-American career at Auburn from 1987-89.

“It’s so humbling for me to come back to Auburn. This is where it started for me.”

🔼 A Fresh Take. Freshman Talan Blackmon didn't waste any time making his presence known at the 2024 SEC Championships. His 290.00 on the 1-meter in prelims earned the Plano, Texas native meaningful points to kick off a busy week inside James E. Martin Aquatic Center.
 
"I was definitely a little nervous at first," said Blackmon. "Being a freshman, there's a lot of pressure on your shoulders. The beginning was a little rough, and I knew I had to step up. I got a little pep talk from Conner [Pruitt] and Coach John [Fox]. They kept telling me, 'Win the next dive.'
 
"He did exactly what we've set out to do this entire year," said Fox. "We planned for this and we knew this is what he was capable of. We weren't sure what was going to happen with the lights turned on, but when they did, he rose to it."

🔼 Over the Moon. No. 15 Auburn earned its third runner-up team finish of the season at the Moon Golf Invitational on Tuesday. The Tigers fired a final round 293 (+5) to finish the event 2-over (866). Megan Schofill led the tournament individually for Auburn, shooting 1-over over all three rounds (217).

Up next, the Tigers will travel to Hilton Head, South Carolina, to participate in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate beginning on March 4.

🔼 Swimming in Good News. Auburn swimmers hit the blocks for the first time on Tuesday inside the James E. Martin Aquatic Center and did not disappoint.
 
The Orange and Blue combined for three podium finishes and two school records as the women sit atop the standings while the men moved up to fifth after day two of the 2024 SEC Championships.
 
Head coach Ryan Wochomurka couldn't have asked for a better start to the 2024 Championships. The Tigers kicked off the meet with a pair of bronze finishes in the 200-medley relay.
