Good morning. Auburn used tenacious defense and 21 points from Honesty Scott-Grayson to defeat Georgia 67-49 Monday, the Tigers' third consecutive SEC victory at Neville Arena. 
 
"We came out on fire," Auburn coach Johnnie Harris said. "We were guarding really well. We got stops. Our kids came out ready to play. They were focused. Any time you can win by 18 in the SEC, it's a good win, so I'm happy with it."
 
Seeking its fourth straight SEC home victory, Auburn (14-6, 3-4) hosts top-ranked South Carolina Thursday at 7 p.m. CT at Neville Arena.

Talking Tigers - John Mengelt
He scored 60 points against Alabama on Valentine's Day. John Mengelt claims this wasn't the best game of his Auburn career. Mengelt came south from his home in Elwood, Indiana. He left Indianapolis in a blizzard on his recruiting visit. It was in the 80s when he landed in Columbus, Georgia. He played against the likes of Pete Maravich and Dan Issel. Mengelt followed his Auburn career by playing for Cincinnati, Kansas City, Detroit and Chicago in the NBA. After a successful career in the executive search firm business, he and his wife, Linda, returned to the Plains.

🔼 Holding Court. Auburn men’s tennis claimed a 4-0 victory over Louisiana during the second day of ITA Kickoff Weekend on Monday in Athens, Georgia.
 
The top Tigers doubles team of Finn Murgett and Raul Dobai earned their first victory of the season. Moments later, Will Nolan and Billy Blaydes picked up their second dual match win of the season on court two and claimed the doubles point for the Tigers.
 
Dobai picked up right where he left off in singles, earning a quick 6-2 opening-set victory over Dimitrov, while Tyler Stice and Nicholas Heng also recorded first-set wins.
 
The victory improves Auburn's record to 3-1, and the loss drops Louisiana's record to 0-5 this season.
 
The Tigers have back-to-back road matches next on the schedule, traveling to play Wisconsin on Feb. 9 and Notre Dame on Feb. 11.

🔼 Beam Me Up. The Auburn gymnastics team is currently ranked No. 15 in this week's RoadToNationals.com rankings.
 
The team's current average is 196.831 after scoring a 196.6750 last Friday at Arkansas. Auburn returns home this week, hosting a quad meet with Temple, Fisk and Talladega in Neville Arena. The teams will face off at 7 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.
 
Auburn's beam is the highlight of the week, as the squad is ranked 10th nationally with a 49.150 average. The floor crew holds onto their spot at 14th with a 49.363. Vault is 16th with a 49.175, and bars is 18th (49.144).
 
Individually, fifth-year Cassie Stevens rose to No. 18 nationally in the all-around with a 39.437 average. Senior Gabby McLaughlin holds her spot at 16th nationally on beam after scoring a 9.8750 on Friday, having a 9.894 average.
