🔼 Seeing a Trophy About a Horse. The Auburn equestrian team will be the No. 3 seed for the 2024 National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championship. The nation's top eight teams will compete for the NCEA National Championship, April 18-20, at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida. Auburn and Oklahoma State will kick off the competition on April 18 at 2:30 p.m. ET. The Cowgirls (8-6) enter the national meet as the Big 12 champions, winning the conference championship last weekend.
🔼 Mother Nature’s Mandates. Due to the weather forecast in the Birmingham area last night, the game between Auburn (16-11) and UAB (12-15) was postponed until tonight at 6 p.m. CT at Regions Field.
Fans who have already purchased tickets can use Tuesday's original ticket for tonight's game. Those who are unable to attend can contact the UAB ticket office by calling 205-975-8221 or emailing [email protected] for a refund.
🔼 When Softball and Swifties Collide. In the words of T-Swizz, “You need to calm down.” But not really. Non-conference action returns to Jane B. Moore Field tonight as Auburn Softball (16-11-1) continues its nine-game homestand with a midweek tilt versus in-state foe Samford (9-24) for Taylor Swift Night. The Tigers are coming off their first win over a top-five opponent since the 2019 season as Auburn snapped No. 4 Tennessee's 20-game win streak on Sunday with a 4-1 victory. It was the 700th Division I win in Dean's career. Auburn is 3-1 in Sunday SEC games.
First pitch is set for 6 p.m. CT. Lynn Rollins and Auburn softball alumna (and Swiftie) Amy Reif will have the call on the SEC Network+. Auburn softball friendship bracelets will be available to fans upon entry while supplies last.
🔼 The Lure of the Lioness. Auburn Soccer's Jessica Osborne has been called up to the England Women's U19 Team in an effort to help the nation qualify for the 2024 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship this summer in Lithuania. As a native of Summerville, South Carolina, Osborne meets the citizenship requirements to play for the Lionesses via her parents, Gail and Andrew Osborne, who are both English citizens.
Osborne and the Lionesses will compete in a trio of qualifying matches in Lisbon, Portugal, over the next week in hopes of punching their ticket to the official championship. First, England battles Switzerland on Wednesday, April 3, at 8 a.m. CT. Next on the docket is a game against Portugal on Saturday, April 6, at 12 p.m. CT. Finally, Osborne and company close with a matchup against Italy on Tuesday, April 9 at 9 a.m. CT. The 2024 UEFA Women's U19 Championship is set for July 14-27 in a trio of Lithuanian cities.
🔼 No Amateur Hour Here. Anna Davis, Megan Schofill and Casey Weidenfeld will begin the fifth edition of the Augusta National Women's Amateur today at Champions Retreat Golf Club. This year marks the second time that Auburn has had three participants in the same field, as Schofill, Kaleigh Telfer and Julie McCarthy each played in the event in 2021.
The first 36 holes will be contested over two days on the Island and Bluff nines at Champions Retreat Golf Club today and tomorrow. The entire field will then play Augusta National Golf Club for an official practice round on Friday, and the final round will take place at Augusta National on Saturday.
