🔼 Pro Move. Your fantasy team may not have delivered like you wanted it to—but a whole bunch of Tigers showed out in Week 1 of the NFL season this past weekend. A total of 28 former Auburn players were on active rosters to start the year, including five rookies like Tank Bigsby who scored his first NFL touchdown and Anders Carlson who made a 52-yard field goal in his pro debut.
🔼 Home Sweet Home. Hugh Freeze and his players were still recovering from their trip to the West Coast on Monday, less than 48 hours after Auburn beat Cal. The game ended around 1 a.m. CT, and the team was back in Auburn by 10 a.m. Sunday morning.
It was a difficult trip. The game itself wasn't always pretty. But the Tigers found a way to win—and now they’re 2-0 heading into this weekend’s matchup against Samford
“Obviously, I'm excited that we were able to go to probably one of the toughest trips I think you have in college football—to go play a game on the West Coast—and I thought our kids handled it well. I thought they played with great energy and passion and togetherness, and they fought for the 60 minutes. I'm obviously extremely happy to get out of there with a win against another Power 5 opponent.”
🤔 TIGER TRIVIA
1903. That’s the first year that Auburn met Samford on the gridiron—and 120 years (and 29 matchups) later they’re still undefeated.
Our question today is simple and straightforward—out of those 29 games how many did the Tigers shut out the Bulldogs?

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER
Answer: 19 games
The first game might have been played in 1903, but it wasn’t until 1919 that Samford scored a point against Auburn.
🐅 Have a great Wednesday, y’all.
