🔼 Life Beyond Tiger Walk. Although placekicker Marshall Meyers is concluding his on-field football career, he knows this is just the first step in his lifelong relationship with Auburn football. The product of Opelika High School will graduate with a finance degree in May, but he will always consider himself an Auburn Man.

“Going to high school in Opelika, this is where we came on weekends, where we went to games and had fun, so I didn’t take many tours in high school,” Meyers recalled during his On the Plains feature. “I performed well at the 2019 Auburn specialist camp, and they pretty much offered me a walk-on position.

“My parents and I had several long talks about academics, and Auburn is well-rounded academically. The business school is incredible; I’m glad to say my degree will say Harbert College of Business attached to Auburn.”

Read the full feature for more on his upcoming work at a defense contracting startup, how Coach Freeze and the football program taught him the gift of patience and how his Auburn journey will never really end.

“I hope this is not the last time my name is attached to Auburn football. Whether it’s donations or assistance or however I can help, I want to help this place win.”

🔼 From Field to Fan. Senior quarterback Sawyer Pate has been an Auburn fan his entire life, but his past four seasons on the Tigers’ football roster have forged him into something more – an Auburn Man.

“As I finish my days with football, I want to give a shout-out to the guys who have been here through these past four years, through three coaches and many coordinator changes,” Pate said during his On the Plains feature.

“Going through COVID, social injustice – it’s not easy in the world of the transfer portal and NIL where you can seek different opportunities to go other places. I just want to thank those guys for sticking it through. That’s what an Auburn Man does.”

Read the full feature for more on what life is like for Pate being on the fan side of things, how his injuries have led him to pursue jobs in the medical devices field and his favorite football memory—the Texas A&M game from last season, which was Carnell Williams’ first home game as the interim head coach.

“We had a losing record, and Jordan-Hare was packed for the game,” Pate said. “It was an incredible atmosphere and could only happen at Auburn.

🐅 ONE BIG THING

Counting Crowes. ICYMI: Auburn men's golf alum Trace Crowe fired a 67 (-3) Monday to finish second at Q-School presented by Korn Ferry at Dye's Valley Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, earning his PGA Tour card.

At Auburn, Crowe was a two-time All-SEC and three-time All-Region player. In 2018, he led the program to a fourth SEC crown and its first-ever Final Four appearance.
