Auburn Men's Golf received nine yearly SEC honors, including a sweep of the three major awards.

Good Morning, Auburn Family. After a record-smashing regular season that culminated in the program's fifth Southeastern Conference Championship, No. 1 Auburn Men's Golf was recognized by the league with nine yearly SEC honors, including a sweep of the three major awards.
 
Tigers head coach Nick Clinard was voted SEC Coach of the Year, while rookie Jackson Koivun was named both SEC Freshman of the Year and SEC Player of the Year. Koivun and junior Brendan Valdes earned nods on the All-SEC First Team, while senior J.M. Butler made the second team. Koivun and fellow rookie Josiah Gilbert also made the conference's All-Freshman squad.

🔼 More Postseason Tickets Punched. Postseason-bound for the 19th time in program history, Auburn softball (27-19-1) punched its ticket to the Tallahassee Regional hosted by No. 13 Florida State. The winner of the Tallahassee Regional will advance to face the winner of the Norman Regional, which features Oklahoma, Oregon, Boston University and Cleveland State.
 
Auburn will face UCF on Friday, May 17. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. CT on ESPNU. The Knights posted a 30-23 overall record and a 12-15 mark in their inaugural season in Big 12 play.

🔼 Why Stop Now? After nearly sweeping the SEC Awards, the No. 1 Auburn men's golf team is back to work. The Tigers begin their national title quest today through Wednesday (May 13-15) at the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional at LSU's University Club in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Auburn tees off the first round of its regional alongside No. 12 Virginia and No. 14 Texas Tech at 8 a.m. CT off hole 1. Groups will be sent off in 11-minute intervals.
 
The regional serves as a qualifier for the 2024 NCAA Championship. The top five teams in all six regionals will punch their tickets to the sport's biggest stage and compete for a national championship May 24-29 at the Omni La Costa Champions Course in Carlsbad, California.

🔼  Well Deserved Madditude. For the third consecutive season, Auburn softball's Maddie Penta earned All-Southeastern Conference Team honors with her second-team selection.
 
The SEC strikeout leader, Penta totaled 92 against league opponents. One of her most dominating performances was an 18-strikeout effort at Ole Miss, tying the program record for most strikeouts in a single game. She held league foes to a .236 batting average.

🔼 Misery for Missouri. Auburn secured its first Southeastern Conference series win with a 9-7 victory in the series finale at Missouri Sunday afternoon at Taylor Stadium. The Tigers homered multiple times for the third straight game in the series and ultimately collected 37 hits in the three games.

🔼 Tharp Speed. Auburn freshman Ja'Kobe Tharp won the Southeastern Conference men's 110m hurdles title Saturday and broke a 46-year-old American Junior record to lead the Tigers on the final day of the SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships Saturday.
 
Despite a slow start, Tharp cleanly cleared the 10 hurdles, dominating over the last five barriers to win easily in a time of 13.18, 22 hundredths of a second over the second-place finisher. The Basking Ridge, New Jersey native posted the fourth fastest time in the world this year and broke Renaldo Nehemiah's American Junior (U20) that was set in 1978.
