Good Morning, Auburn Family. On the first stop of his recruiting visit to Auburn, Malik Dunbar remembers being ready to commit when he saw his highlights playing on the videoboard at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

“We didn’t even need to go to the courts to let me know what the gym looked like,” Dunbar said, laughing at the memory. “Y’all had me at the field.”

In Dunbar’s two seasons on the Plains, Auburn won the SEC regular season championship in 2018 and the SEC Tournament title in 2019.

“We put a lot of blood, sweat and tears in that year,” Dunbar said of Auburn’s 2017-18 season, before which one pundit predicted a 4-14 SEC record.

🔼 The Great One-O-Eight. A total of 108 Auburn student-athletes earned a selection to the 2024 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll.

The 2024 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll includes the sports of baseball, golf, softball, tennis and track & field. It is based on grades from the 2023 Summer, 2023 Fall, and 2024 Spring terms.

Auburn's women's Track & Field led the way with 27 selections, while the men’s Track & Field team totaled 26.

🔼 A-List For D-Rob. Former Auburn two-way player Daniel Robert has been called up to the Texas Rangers. He becomes the 10th former Tiger to be called up to the big leagues since the beginning of the 2020 season, including the third this year.

A four-year letterwinner for the Tigers from 2014-17, Robert turned in a .283 career average with 185 hits, including 33 doubles and 11 home runs to accompany 104 RBI, in 191 games played. During Auburn’s 2017 NCAA Regional Final run, Robert led the team with 42 RBI and ranked third with 63 hits while playing in 60 of 63 games. 

Robert was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 21^st round of the 2017 MLB Draft and has spent all five of his minor league seasons with the organization.
