πŸ”Ό We Are the Champions, My Friend. Confetti fell from the rafters at Bridgestone Arena on Sunday afternoon as No. 12 Auburn celebrated its third SEC Tournament championship in program history, beating Florida 86-67 to make it three wins in three days.

With less than a minute to go and the game already in hand, Dylan Cardwell threw down a two-handed slam and drew the foul to put the exclamation point on the victory.

"Winning the championship this year means even more because the league was so good," Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl said.

πŸ”Ό Shall We Dance? The Auburn women's basketball team is getting on its dancing shoes for the first time in five years, as the NCAA announced Sunday night that the Tigers earned a berth in the 2024 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.

The Tigers (20-11) are headed to Storrs, Connecticut, where they will meet Arizona (17-15) in a First Four game on Thursday, March 21, at Gampel Pavilion. Game time and TV information have not been announced.

πŸ”Ό They Stuck the Landing. The No. 14 Auburn gymnastics team capped the 2024 regular season with a season-best road score, earning a 197.575 Saturday night to finish second at the Kidney Care Women's Gymnastics Championship in Nashville.

"I'm really happy with the grit and determination of this group," head coach Jeff Graba said.

The 2024 postseason is up next for the Tigers, and the team will head to New Orleans next week for the 2024 Southeastern Conference Championship. The two-session meet will take place on March 23.

πŸ”Ό Fever Pitch. Add winningest pitcher in program history to Maddie Penta's lengthy list of accolades as she and the Tiger defense led No. 25 Auburn softball (14-6-1, 2-4 SEC) to a 2-1 victory over No. 20 Arkansas (22-6, 2-1 SEC) in Sunday's series finale at Jane B. Moore Field.

"It's big," said head coach Mickey Dean. "She had a rough first inning in that first game. Ever since she's done a really bang-up job. I'm just proud of the way she handled herself today and proud of her teammates for having her back."

πŸ”Ό A Matter of Will. One of Will Redmond’s favorite players growing up was Karlos Dansby. He wanted to be a smashmouth middle linebacker just like Dansby, the former All-American at Auburn. That dream never materialized for Redmond, but as the new general manager of player personnel at Auburn, he has the opportunity to work with players like that every day.

Redmond left LSU to come to Auburn and take on the general manager role, which is new to Hugh Freeze’s staff but becoming increasingly common across college football. The role itself is similar to an NFL general manager in terms of building and maintaining a roster.

πŸ”Ό Doubling Down. No. 35 Men's tennis defeated 16th-ranked South Carolina by a 4-1 score at the Yarbrough Tennis Center on Sunday. The win marks Auburn's third consecutive victory over the Gamecocks dating back to the 2022 SEC Championships, as well as its third straight SEC match victory this season.

"I couldn't be prouder from the doubles standpoint," said Auburn head coach Bobby Reynolds. "We were down break points at four all and trying to stay in there, then ultimately getting a win at one was huge.”
