🔼 A Swing and They Miss. After tossing a combined perfect game in Auburn softball's last midweek contest, Maddie Penta and Shelby Lowe no-hit UAB (17-22) as the Tigers (21-12-1) took down their in-state foe 9-0 in five innings at Jane B. Moore Field on Tuesday.
 
Penta earned the start and allowed a one-out base runner in the first inning off a hit-by-pitch before she retired 10 straight Blazers. UAB would not have another base runner until a two-out Penta walk in the fourth. Penta struck out five in her four innings of work, earning the win to improve to 12-6.

🔼 ICYMI - Today is Giving Day! Be a part of preserving priceless Auburn history by funding the digitization of the University’s oldest athletic film reels! Auburn Athletics would like to convert old film reels to digital in order to better preserve the history of athletic events and student-athletes. Athletics currently has roughly 15,000 tapes stored in archives. As time passes, these tapes begin to deteriorate, and at a certain point, they are no longer salvageable.

With a goal of $30,000, this campaign will allow the War Eagle Creative team to begin digitizing film that is nearing the end of its shelf life, as well as film that contains historic events and features student-athletes from iconic Auburn teams and games.

🔼 Riding High. Seven members of the Auburn equestrian team combined for eight NCEA Ariat All-America honors, the National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced Tuesday.
 
"It's great to have All-Americans in all four events," head coach Jessica Braswell said. "I think it shows our team's strength across the board.”

🔼 Just a Bit Too Little Too Late. Auburn scored a run in the ninth and put the tying run in scoring position but ultimately dropped its midweek matchup vs. Alabama State 3-2 Tuesday night at Plainsman Park.
 
The Tigers continue Southeastern Conference play with a three-game series against No. 8 Kentucky (27-4, 11-1 SEC) Thursday through Saturday at Plainsman Park.
