Making his Olympic debut, Makanakaishe “Maka” Charamba raced in the 200m finals, finishing in 20.53. He is the first Auburn sprinter to make the 200m finals at the Summer Olympics since 2000. History made!

🔼 A Clean Slate. Auburn volleyball's full 2024 schedule is set, as head coach Brent Crouch released the Tigers’ non-conference slate on Thursday.

Four weekends of jam-packed volleyball await Crouch and Co. before the team dives into SEC play. 

The Orange and Blue kick off the season at home in Neville Arena on Aug. 30 against in-state foe North Alabama as part of the War Eagle Invitational. Auburn will also face off against Georgia Southern (Aug. 30) and Wofford (Aug. 31) to round out the first tournament of the year. 

A week later, the Tigers remain home on the Plains, taking on Troy (Sept. 3), Cal Poly (Sept. 5) and Florida State (Sept. 8) in the Plainsman Invitational.

🔼 Ducks in a Row. Some Auburn equestrian members are using the summer to gain valuable experiences not only in their area of study but also in life, whether they stay in the United States or travel abroad!

Soon-to-be junior Charlotte McLaughlin returned home to Ottawa, interning with CSV Architects. The building sciences major worked with construction administration while also taking time out of her busy schedule to ride. 

Q: Where are you spending your summer, and what is your role?
A: “I am spending my summer working for CSV Architects…working as a summer intern doing project coordination and aiding with the construction administration aspect of projects.”

Q: What made you interested in this internship?
A: “I am interested in both architecture and construction, and I recognized the importance of having a background and understanding of architecture to make me a more well-rounded and knowledgeable contractor…”
