🔼 A Past With Some Zip. Transfer tackle Ronan Chambers might have just started classes at Auburn during the latest round of summer school, but Jordan-Hare Stadium already holds a prominent place in his life.

“My first-ever college game was here at Jordan-Hare, back in 2021,” the offensive lineman, a graduate transfer from Akron, remembered with a smile. “The atmosphere was incredible.”

“To play against Auburn and witness that environment—and now I’m playing here—having the opportunity to be a part of it was something I couldn’t pass up.”

Auburn won 60-10 over the Zips in the 2021 season opener, not only gaining the win but also impressing a future player.

Read On the Plains With Ronan Chambers for more on his desire to play in the SEC, his very athletic (big!) family and his NFL goals.

🔼 Volley For Serve. Auburn women’s tennis head coach Jordan Szabo released the team’s tournament schedule for the fall of 2024 on Tuesday. The fall slate is highlighted by the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, which will be held in the fall for the first time in Waco, Texas. For the first time since 2017, Auburn will also be hosting the ITA Southern Regional Championship at the Yarbrough Tennis Center in October.

🔼 On the Hunt. Auburn’s Jarquez Hunter, the SEC’s leading returning rusher, has been selected as a preseason candidate for the 2024 Doak Walker Award. The Forum annually presents the award to the nation’s most outstanding college running back.

As a junior in 2023, Hunter gained 909 rushing yards on 159 attempts, an average of 5.7 yards per carry. In three seasons on the Plains, Hunter ranks No. 18 in program history with 2,170 rushing yards, adding 17 touchdowns, 403 career receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns.

🔼 Let’s Hear It For Heroes. Nominations are now open for the Ford Gameday Hero! Help us honor military personnel and their families at home athletic events as a tribute to their commitment and sacrifice.
