Good Morning, Auburn Family. Auburn’s Suni Lee and Team USA put on a show Tuesday, winning gold in the women’s artistic gymnastics team competition at the Paris 2024 Olympics. 

“This team has definitely been through a lot,” Lee said. “We had so many expectations on us, but we did what we were supposed to do.”

“We are so proud of all she’s accomplished so far and can’t wait to see what else is in store for her this week,” Auburn head coach Jeff Graba said of Suni. “It was also great to hear ‘War Eagle’ from the crowd during the meet!”

🔼 Fandom Level: Expert. Auburn Football invites the Auburn Family to a preseason kickoff fanfest event on Saturday, August 10, in the indoor complex located behind the Athletics Complex.

The event will feature an autograph session and family fun zone from 3-4 p.m. CT, allowing fans to meet their 2024 Auburn Tigers, led by head coach Auburn Hugh Freeze, before the Kickoff on the Plains home opener on Aug. 31. Doors will open at 3 p.m., and fans are encouraged to enter the event via the practice field on the east side of the complex. Admission to the event is FREE.

🔼 Puetz Part Deux. Former Auburn men’s tennis standout Tim Puetz and doubles partner Kevin Krawietz defeated Gael Monfils and Edouard Roger-Vasselin of France in the second round of the men’s doubles Olympic event in Paris on Tuesday morning by a 6-3, 6-1 score.

With the win, the tournament’s two-seeded team will advance to the quarterfinal round and face Tomas Machac and Adam Pavlasek of Czechia this morning. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:30 a.m. CT and will be streaming on Peacock.
