Johni Broome recorded his fourth consecutive double-double as Auburn took down North Carolina 85-72 to advance to Maui Invitational finals.
Good Morning, Auburn Family. Johni Broome recorded a double-double in the first half and No. 4 Auburn never trailed against No. 12 North Carolina, beating the Tar Heels 85-72 Tuesday to advance to the championship game at the Maui Invitational.
It was Broome’s fourth consecutive double-double and second in two days. Six Tigers scored in double figures, with Miles Kelly scoring 15 points.
The Tigers (6-0) take on unbeaten Memphis today at 4 p.m. CT on ESPN and the Auburn Sports Network from Lahaina Civic Center.

🔼 Nothing Dreary About McCreary. Cornerbacks Roger McCreary and Jamel Dean stepped up to help their teams win this week while Daniel Carlson kept his field-goal streak alive, connecting on all four of his attempts.

It was a standout game for McCreary this week as the third-year cornerback recorded six tackles, including two for loss, to help the Titans pull the upset against the Houston Texans. He now has 11 tackles for loss on the season, surpassing his total from his first two NFL seasons (9).
🔼 Hoppin’ Off the Pitch. Auburn head soccer coach Karen Hoppa is retiring after a historic 26-year run as the program’s leader. Hoppa led the program to seven SEC Western Division championships, one SEC regular season title, one conference tournament crown and 18 NCAA Tournament appearances. Her 293 wins at Auburn are a program record, and her 357 overall wins rank 32nd in Division I history.

🔼 Cream of the Crop. Senior Carson Bedics and junior Ariel Sharpe of the Auburn track & field team will participate in the Southeastern Conference’s ninth annual SEC Career Tour Dec. 3-5 in Atlanta. The pair will join 29 other student-athletes to represent Auburn at the three-day event. This program allows student-athletes to connect with human resource recruiters, submit resumes for jobs and gain valuable knowledge of professional branding.
Bedics is pursuing a degree in bioprocessing engineering. Sharpe holds an associate degree in Applied Science in Health Science, double majoring in Medical Laboratory Science and Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Pre-Anesthesiologist Assistant.
