🔼 Orange Ya Glad Ryan’s On the Green? No. 2 Auburn men’s golf knocked off No. 12 Florida State 3-2 in a national title rematch to punch its ticket to the finals of the 2024 East Lake Cup Tuesday evening at East Lake Golf Club. The Tigers will face No. 11 Georgia Tech in this morning’s championship match, set to tee off at 9:40 a.m. CT.

Auburn found its first point in dominant fashion from senior Ryan Eshleman. Eshleman and Florida State’s Patrick McCann battled in a close match through the first eight holes, but a win on the ninth saw Eshleman take a lead that would not be relinquished. He turned on the heat, winning four of the next five holes to put the match away on 14 with a 5&4 victory.

🔼 From Arkansas, With Love. Auburn sophomore guard Taliah Scott has been named to the Ann Meyers-Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award watch list, announced Tuesday by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. The Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, in its eighth year, honors the top shooting guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball.

Scott averaged 22.1 points per game for Arkansas in 2023-24 before transferring to Auburn in the offseason. For her efforts, she earned a selection to the SEC All-Freshman Team. Scott also averaged 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 40.7 percent from the field and 83.8 percent at the free-throw line.

🔼 Swing and Ole Miss. Head coach Brent Crouch and the Auburn Tigers (14-6, 4-5) return to Neville Arena to host Ole Miss (13-7, 3-5) tonight. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. CT. 

The Tigers remain one of the defensive leaders in the Southeastern Conference. Auburn ranks second in the SEC in opponent hitting percentage (.180), digs per set (16.35) and blocks per set (2.74). All of the marks rank in the top 50 in the country.

🔼 The Springboard to Success. Sweeping the springboard events during Auburn’s dual at North Carolina last Friday, freshman Ethan Swart was named SEC Diver of the Week. The recognition marks the first such honor for Swart and the first weekly award for the Tigers in the 2024-25 season. 

Swart has been downright electric in the diving well to begin his career in the Orange and Blue. During last week’s dual in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Swart dialed up career highs on the 1-meter and 3-meter events. His 324.68 on the 1-meter and 380.55 on the 3-meter were more than enough to secure a pair of individual victories.

🔼 AnnaLea Adams Goes to Auburn. Eight new Tigers on The Plains want to make a mark in year one under Chris and Kate Malveaux. Hailing from Liberty, Indiana, utility player AnnaLea Adams joins Auburn after an award-winning prep career that saw her win multiple First Team All-State and PGF All-American honors.

 Q: Who has influenced your softball career the most?

Adams: My dad and mom have influenced my career the most. When my sister first started playing, my mom would always take me to her games because I loved being around the sport. My dad would always let me warm up with his team and start playing the game from a very young age.
