🔼  Hall of Hall Fame. Tank Bigsby started Sunday with a pair of touchdowns to lead the Jaguars in London, and it carried over to Atlanta, where Derick Hall scored his first career touchdown in a Seahawks’ victory.

Derick Hall, LB, Seattle Seahawks

On Sunday, Hall did something with the Seahawks that he never did in four years at Auburn. He scored a touchdown. The second-year edge rusher scooped up Boye Mafe’s forced fumble and returned it 36 yards to the house for his first NFL touchdown. It highlighted another impactful performance from Hall, who recorded four QB pressures on the day and earned a PFF grade of 87.7, the highest on the Seattle defense.

Listen to Hall talk about the experience of having it happen in front of his fellow Auburn alumni and fans.

🔼 Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop. After an 8-under, third-place showing at The Williams Cup, Auburn men’s golf sophomore Josiah Gilbert was named Southeastern Conference Golfer of the Week.

Gilbert shot 68-71-69 for an impressive 208 (-8), which clinched his second top-three outing within the last month. He beat the nearest golfer from the SEC by two shots. Gilbert also led Auburn to a third-place team finish in which they beat the nearest SEC squad, No. 9 Florida, by 13.

🔼 Killer Clashes Incoming. Auburn soccer wraps up its regular season schedule this week, hosting Georgia tonight and traveling to No. 22 South Carolina on Sunday, Oct. 27. This evening’s kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT, while Sunday’s clash at Stone Soccer Stadium commences at 3 p.m. CT.

The No. 13 Tigers (12-1-3, 4-1-3) return home after a two-match road stint that included a 3-2 win at Tennessee and a 0-0 draw at Kentucky.

🗣 “Every week in SEC play is tough, but man, this week is certainly one of the toughest.” - Karen Hoppa, head soccer coach

🔼 Minor Blip in the ‘Sip. Auburn concluded the fall portion of its 2023-24 schedule on Wednesday at The Ally at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi. The Tigers finished the event 3-over (867) and in fourth place out of 16 teams.

🗣 “Rather disappointed in our performance this week. The team is upset, which I am happy about because sometimes you have to feel the pain. This will set us up for a productive winter season to get prepped for spring.” - Melissa Luellen, head women’s golf coach

🐅 ONE BIG THING

Praise From the Pitch. This Auburn soccer season has been one to watch, and the postseason will surely be no different.

For the 12th time in 16 matches, Auburn soccer walked away from a match with a clean sheet. The No. 11 Tigers battled Kentucky in their last matchup to a 0-0 tie Friday night. It was only the second time Kentucky had been blanked at home this season.

Auburn’s 12 shutouts match the program’s single-season record, originally set in 2003.
