Good Morning, Tigers. Introducing Bruce Pearl at SEC Basketball Tipoff ‘25, commissioner Greg Sankey pointed out that Auburn’s coach, in his 11th season on the Plains and his 17th in the league, ranks as the dean of the Southeastern Conference in both categories.

“I feel like I just got here,” Pearl said in his opening remarks. “I’m grateful to be a part of this league.”

🔼 A Telling Tiger-to-Lion Transition. A career high in tackles for Jamien Sherwood, a spot on PFF’s Team of the Week for Carlton Davis, and the first career sack for K.J. Britt highlighted Week 6 for Auburn's NFL players.

Despite leaving the game late due to injury, Davis played one of his best games of the season Sunday and made PFF’s Team of the Week with a grade of 88.4 The first-year Lion recorded two tackles and also broke up two passes in a 47-9 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

🔼 Bout to Bump Bama. With one SEC road victory already under their belts, head coach Brent Crouch and the No. 25 Auburn Tigers (14-2, 4-1) head to Tuscaloosa for a rivalry bout with Alabama (9-7, 1-4) on Wednesday, Oct. 15. First serve is slated for 6 p.m. CT and the match will be streamed live on SEC Network Plus.

Auburn moved up to No. 12 in the latest RPI report on Monday, signaling a new best for Crouch and the Tiger Volleyball program.

🔼 One More Sneak Peek. Preseason No. 11-ranked Auburn has added a charity exhibition game at Furman on Sunday, Oct. 27, at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. Proceeds from the exhibition will benefit the Friends of Cleveland Park and the City of Greenville’s park restoration projects. During the game, Furman will recognize the City of Greenville employees for their heroic efforts during Hurricane Helene.

Tipoff between the Tigers and Paladins is set for noon CT / 1 p.m. ET.

🔼 Advantage Auburn. Auburn freshman Merna Refaat won the ITA Singles Southern Regional Championship, while the Tiger duo of DJ Bennett and Ava Hrastar captured the region’s doubles title on Tuesday. Refaat and Auburn sophomore Angella Okutoyi reached the singles finals, which earned each of them a bid to the NCAA Singles Championship. Bennett and Hrastar’s tournament victory also ensures a spot in the NCAA Doubles Championship.

For the first time, all four singles semifinalists in the event were Auburn players, as Refaat, Bennett, Hrastar and Okutoyi all reached the final four. The same Tigers made up the two doubles teams that reached the doubles championship finals. 

🔼 This is For All the Marbles. Men’s tennis will compete in the ITA Southern Regional Championships, played today through Monday, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

For the first time, bids to the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships will be awarded to the best performers in the event. The two players that reach the finals in the singles main draw will earn a bid to the NCAA Singles Championship, while the doubles team that wins the doubles main draw will receive a bid to the NCAA Doubles Championship. Both championships will be held Nov. 19-24 in Waco, Texas.
