Slayton broke out in a big way Sunday as he reeled in eight catches on 11 targets for 122 yards and a touchdown to help the Giants earn their second win of the season.

It’s a double-dose of tough Southeastern Conference competition this week for Auburn soccer as the No. 14 Tigers host Alabama in the Iron Bowl of Soccer and Socctoberfest tonight at 6 p.m. CT before heading to Knoxville, Tennessee, for a face-off against the Lady Vols on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. CT.

Auburn (11-1-1, 3-1-1) enters the week fresh off a dominant 4-0 win last Friday at LSU. Four different Tigers found the back of the net to extend Auburn’s undefeated streak against the Bayou Bengals to 16 consecutive matches.

🔼 Approaching Household Name Status. Auburn sophomore Anna Davis has been named SEC Co-Player of the Week after capturing the individual title at the Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah Country Club, the conference announced on Wednesday.

This marks the second SEC Player of the Week honor of the season for Davis, as she received the nod on Sep. 18 after recording a runner-up individual finish to lead the Tigers to a team victory at the Cougar Classic. The sophomore has not finished lower than second individually through the team’s first three events of the season.

🔼 A Toast to the Host. Auburn Women’s Tennis is set to host the 2024 ITA Southern Regional Championships today through Tuesday at the Yarbrough Tennis Center in Auburn, Alabama. Nine Tigers will participate in the event, vying for a spot in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships. Auburn hosts the tournament for the first time since 2017. It is open to players from any school in the ITA Southern Region, including all Division I universities from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

For the first time, something more than just a regional crown will be up for grabs from the tournament. The two players that reach the finals in the singles main draw will earn a bid to the NCAA Singles Championship, while the doubles team that wins the doubles main draw will receive a bid to the NCAA Doubles Championship. Both championships will be held Nov. 19-24 in Waco, Texas.
