He is in the Alabama Business Hall of Fame; a member of the Auburn University Board of Trustees and he almost didn’t make it into college. Jimmy Rane started Great Southern Wood Preserving in 1971. It is the one of the largest manufacturers of pressure treated pine in the world. His family name spans the Auburn campus from academics to athletics. The Jimmy Rane foundation has helped many go to college which is near and dear to his heart and his friend, the late Pat Dye.

🔼 Alabama Showdown. Auburn volleyball hosts the Alabama Showdown this weekend! They’ll take on UAB tonight at 6 p.m. CT. It’s Throwback Thursday and there will be mystery giveaways from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

🔼 The Opening Drive. Auburn and Florida renew their football rivalry for the first time since 2019 on Saturday. Auburn is 21-5 when opening SEC play at home and seeks its fourth straight home win over the Gators. The Tigers, averaging 20.3 points allowed per game in three seasons under defensive coordinator DJ Durkin, will face a confident Florida team averaging 59 points per game.
