🏀 2025 Players Era Men’s Championship MBB info released
🗣 Auburn Athletics looks ahead at AMBUSH
⛳️ Jackson Koivun finished tied for 11th place @ PGA Tour's John Deere Classic
🐅 And much, much more!

Koivun set a new personal best for Tour event finish by nearly 40 spots on the leaderboard. His week consisted of a 70 (-1), 64 (-7), 68 (-3) and a 67 (-4).

Also making the cut at TPC Deere Run were Auburn alums Patton Kizzire and Brendan Valdes. Kizzire shot 7-under to finish just outside the top 50. Valdes made his first ever Tour cut and finished tied for 41st at 9-under.

🔼 Don’t Hate the Player. Auburn MBB will face a pair of Big Ten opponents as part of the 2025 Players Era Men’s Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Tigers will match up against Oregon on Monday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. CT and follow up with Michigan on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 7:30 p.m. CT.

The 2025 edition of the tournament will feature the most competitive field ever assembled for a men’s in-season tournament that includes five AP top 10 teams from last season in Auburn, Alabama, Houston, Michigan and Tennessee. It will also boast an entirely new format that will combine international style-group play with championship matchups sure to deliver a must-see slate of games across the board.

🔼 Tigers’ One-Two Punch. The honors continue for freshmen standouts Chase Fralick and Chris Rembert, who were both named First Team Freshman All-America by D1 Baseball this week. The duo became the 21st and 22nd Freshman All-Americans in program history this postseason.

The Freshman All-America recognition is the fourth for Rembert, who has also earned first-team honors from Baseball America and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and second-team honors from Perfect Game. It’s the third Freshman All-America recognition for Fralick, who also earned a first-team nod from Baseball America and Perfect Game.

🔼 The Big Picture. It’s not easy to say no to the Manning family but Auburn quarterback Jackson Arnold preferred to think of it as saying yes to the Tigers’ receivers when he declined an invitation to last week’s Manning Passing Academy.

“’I don’t want to miss a day of throwing with my guys,’” Arnold told head coach Hugh Freeze, explaining his decision after attending the previous two summers.

Freeze shared that story Wednesday with reporters at Willow Point Country Club before visiting with approximately 350 Auburn fans at the AMBUSH event.

Much of Wednesday's discussion revolved around the transition to college athletics’ new revenue sharing era.

🔼 A Pair Of Aces. A couple of veteran SEC athletes, infielders Destiny Rodriguez and McKaela Walker, will continue their softball careers at Auburn.

Rodriguez reunites with the husband-wife coaching team, the Malveauxs, as she spent the last three seasons at Tennessee, helping the Lady Vols to a pair of Women’s College World Series appearances. Walker is also an experienced athlete within the league, having spent three seasons at LSU.

🔼 Linking Up. David Johnson, a former professional player and all-conference standout at UCF, has joined the Auburn men’s golf program as an assistant coach, head coach Nick Clinard has announced.

As a college player, Johnson competed for Clinard at UCF from 2007-09 when he was a two-time All-Conference USA selection and the 2008 C-USA Newcomer of the Year. Before UCF, Johnson played at Eastern Florida State College, where he won six tournaments en route to earning a pair of NJCAA All-America honors.
