🔼 We’re in Our Nike Era. This morning, official Auburn Tigers Nike gear will go on sale to the public for the first time. Fans have been counting down the days since Auburn made the switch to Nike on July 1 after 19 years with Under Armour.

They have already seen some of the Nike uniform reveals, including football. Now it’s their turn to buy the product. It’s their turn to rep the swoosh and the Auburn logo together.

“It’s such an iconic mark,” said Tyler Fondren, Auburn’s Director of Football Equipment. “Seeing that on whatever item – whether it’s a shoe, whether it’s a polo or a shirt…”

For Fondren, fellow Director of Equipment Brad Rapacz and the entire Auburn Equipment staff, the transition to Nike has been over a year in the making. The deal was first announced on April 9, 2024. Auburn started placing the first Nike orders as early as last August to have things ready in time for the official launch on July 1.

🔼 Crouching Tiger, No Hidden Agenda. Volleyball season is right around the corner, and head coach Brent Crouch has announced Auburn’s non-conference slate. Before rival Alabama arrives on the Plains, the Tigers’ schedule includes eight high-powered matchups with perennially impressive programs.

Crouch and Co. will kick off the campaign with the annual Orange and Blue scrimmage on Aug. 17 and follow up with an exhibition at Georgia Tech on Aug. 23. Auburn’s first official game comes against the National Runner-Ups in Louisville on Aug. 29 inside the L&N Federal Credit Union Arena in Louisville, Kentucky, as part of the Cardinal Classic.

The Orange and Blue’s home opener features in-state foe Troy on Sept. 3 as Auburn kicks off four straight home matches.

Vickers and the Tigers will be giving away free school supplies while supplies last, with the first 200 kids receiving a free backpack. In addition, there will be a live DJ, inflatables, basketball mini-games and more.

🧐 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: 2010!

Built at a cost of $86 million, Neville Arena seats 9,121 fans for basketball games, bringing Tiger fans close to the action. Neville Arena replaced the old Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum as home of Tiger basketball for the 2010-11 season.

The furthest seat in Neville Arena is just 43 feet away from the court. A full two-thirds of the seats in the facility are less than 27 feet in elevation from courtside.
