Good Morning, Auburn Family. Six former members of the Auburn MBB program participated in the 2025 NBA Summer League in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, Nevada, highlighted by Philadelphia 76ers second-round draft pick Johni Broome.

Broome, who was drafted 35th overall by the 76ers in June’s NBA Draft, averaged 11.6 points and 7.4 rebounds in seven games. He shot 38.7 percent from 3-point range and reached double figures in three contests. Broome’s best performance came in his last game when he scored 22 points on 8-of-19 field goals. He also had one block against the Dallas Mavericks and his former Auburn teammate, Miles Kelly.

Overachievers. Well, Perfect Achievers. Auburn baseball was named a recipient of the American Baseball Coaches Association’s 2024-25 Team Academic Excellence Award, honoring high school and college programs coached by a current ABCA member that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for the 2024-25 academic year. This marks the second straight season Auburn has earned the recognition.

Twenty-nine players achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher, including 10 players with a 3.5 GPA and two with a 4.0 GPA. Additionally, 15 players were named to the 2023-24 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll and 16 were named to the 2025 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll.
