For the first time in its history, Jordan-Hare Stadium welcomed international soccer as reigning World Cup champions Argentina take on Iceland just days before the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Football to Fútbol goes behind the scenes of this historic event, chronicling the massive effort required to transform one of college football's most iconic venues into a world-class soccer stadium. Standing In The Hall Of Fame. Auburn softball co-head coach Kate Malveaux will be inducted into the Illinois Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026! Born in Springfield, Illinois, Malveaux played softball at Heartland Community College and Bradley University, winning a national championship at Heartland. Fellow Illinois Sports Hall of Fame members include Michael Jordan, Walter Payton and Ernie Banks.
