🎥 WAREAGLE+: TALKING TIGERS

Talking Tigers - Tim Hudson (Part 2)
Tim Hudson learned he had been drafted by the Oakland A’s while playing in the 1997 College World Series in Omaha with Auburn. The National & SEC Player of the Year was expecting to hear his name called after the 10th round, but it came earlier. He spent 17 years in the majors, the first five with Oakland. In September, he’ll be inducted into the Oakland A’s Hall of Fame.
Tim Hudson is featured in this Talking Tigers Podcast. Part 2 starts with Auburn’s trip to the College World Series in 1997.

“When we went to four overtimes and they stormed that field. That was pretty special. I had never felt anything like that. That place is always rocking. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐧-𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐞.”

🔼 Tales From the Tackle Box. After he’s pancaked his last D-lineman or flattened a linebacker for the final time, senior offensive lineman Izavion Miller knows what’s next.
“I want to be a coach in high school,” Miller said without a moment’s hesitation.
Former Wooddale High School coach Jerome Griffin not only gave Miller a nickname that stuck – ‘Too Tall’ – he also helped paved Izavion’s path to Auburn via Southwest Mississippi Community College.
“He put my film together, talked to coaches for me, got me in the right position,” Miller recalled. “If I can help a kid like that, I’m willing to do it.”
Read “On the Plains With Izavion Miller” for more on his love of helping newcomers to the team, his transition to left tackle and the one game that stands out for him more than others.

🔼 Competition to Be Torn Asunder. Rachael Sunder, a former All-American and National Champion at UCLA, will join Auburn Volleyball as assistant coach, Brent Crouch announced.
For the past four seasons, Sunder has acted as the Assistant Director of Austin Skyline Juniors Volleyball Clubs, one of the top programs in the nation.
Across her four years at UCLA, Sunder racked up a litany of accolades, including AVCA All-American, the NCAA Tournament MVP in 2011, All-Pac 12 and All-Pacific Region. To this day, Sunder remains in the top 15 in program history with 1442 kills in her career.
