Junior Ike Irish was selected by the Baltimore Orioles with the No. 19 overall pick in the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft Sunday in Atlanta.

Good Morning, Auburn Family. Junior Ike Irish was selected by the Baltimore Orioles with the No. 19 overall pick in the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft Sunday in Atlanta.

Irish becomes Auburn’s 10th first round pick, including the fourth under head coach Butch Thompson, and is the fifth highest drafted player in program history. He is the third highest drafted position player in program history, trailing only Frank Thomas (No. 7) and Gabe Gross (No. 15).

This year's draft marks the 51st consecutive season dating back to 1975 Auburn has had at least one player selected in the MLB Draft, tied for the longest streak in the Southeastern Conference.

🔼 No Football F.O.M.O Victims. There are only 46 days until the Auburn football season commences, and, as expected, tickets are selling like hotcakes.

🔼 Playing the Long Ball. For the second consecutive weekend, Auburn rising junior Jackson Koivun is going home with a top 15 finish on the PGA Tour after shooting 5-under and finishing tied for sixth at the ISCO Championship in Louisville, Kentucky. 

The fantastic showing comes just a week after Koivun set a career best with a tied for 11th place showing at the John Deere Classic. This week, he finished just five shots back of champion William Mouw (-10) for his first career top 10 on Tour. He has now made five cuts in seven career PGA Tour appearances over the last 13 months.

🔼 Football, From A to Z. Auburn sixth-year senior Zykeivous Walker is ready to capitalize on new opportunities this season and be a contributing factor to success for the team and the Auburn Family. Walker committed to Auburn in November of 2019, just before the Iron Bowl.

He has faced adversity throughout his life and has always been there for his mom and three sisters during difficult times.

“My dad passed away when I was 8 years old,” Walker revealed. “My household was me and three of my sisters. Seeing my mom having to raise us in our house by herself, it motivated me and made me want to take care of my mom and give her flowers while she can still smell them. She deserves the world.”

Dream Team Deets. Auburn men’s golf and head coach Nick Clinard announced the team’s schedule for the 2025-26 season, featuring 11 team events and two individual tournaments.

The season kicks off Sept. 15 at the Invitational at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tennessee. The Tigers then head to the Ben Hogan Collegiate (Sept. 29-30) and The Williams Cup (Oct. 19-21) before rounding out the fall in Tulsa, Oklahoma at The Clerico (Oct. 27-28).
