Auburn Greatness. Auburn is one of four schools all-time with MVPs in the NFL, NBA and MLB! In 2015, Cam Newton became the first Tiger to earn NFL MVP honors. Charles Barkley became the first Auburn NBA MVP in 1993. Two Tigers have earned MLB MVP honors, with Frank Thomas earning two in 1993 and ‘94 and Josh Donaldson earning the honor in 2015.
