Bodda Getta Brew 6/20: Coach Vickers is DIALED In

Coach Vickers shared his vision for the pursuit of excellence for the Auburn WBB team.

Good Morning, Auburn Family. First-year Auburn women’s basketball coach Larry Vickers wants his team to be dialed in.

Make that, DIALED in, with each letter representing a foundational principle.

D: Dedicated
I: Intensity
A: Accountability
L: Leadership
E: Energy
D: Disciplined

Nearly three months into his new role, Vickers shared a program update at the Auburn Chamber of Commerce’s weekly Tuesday Talk, starting with the word he shares on the first page of the handbook he’s written for the student-athletes he coaches.

Cole enters the college coaching world after spending her post-collegiate career playing for the LNBPF in Mexico and Athletes Unlimited. Cole played four seasons in Athletes Unlimited, averaging 9.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 23.3 minutes per game.

In her final collegiate season at Virginia Tech, she was an ACC All-Defensive Team selection after starting all 30 games and leading the ACC with 194 assists.

🔼 When They Go “Lew.” As Taylor Jones of the Auburn Wire posted yesterday, “Connor Lew returns to lead an experienced offensive line after posting strong all-around numbers as the team's primary center in 2024. His ability to set up plays, all while dominating opposing defensive lines, is why he is considered to be one of the nation's best at his position. In Lindy's Sports College Football National Preview magazine, Lew is listed among the best centers in the country at No. 6, and is one of four SEC centers to make the cut.”

🔼 In Football, ‘Tis Better to Receive. We know we’re looking good, but it’s nice to get the recognition. 👀
