🎥 TALKING TIGERS

She was coming to Auburn to play golf when the program was dropped. When women’s golf returned, Virginia Derby was the first recruit. Derby went on to coach at Auburn, and embarked on a spectacular career in amateur golf. Virginia Derby Grimes has won the Alabama Amateur and the Alabama Senior Amateur. She was part of winning teams in the Curtis Cup as a player and a captain. After a 13-year span away from the game, the Alabama Sports Hall of Famer has returned to competitive golf.

🔼 Trophy Talk. Auburn men’s track & field’s Ja’Kobe Tharp and Kayinsola Ajayi are national champions! Tharp won the 110m hurdles, marking his fourth national title to match Harvey Glance’s record. Ajayi won the 100m to achieve his second national title. The Tigers finished sixth in the team title with 33 points.

🔼 All-American Girl. Auburn women’s track & field’s Camryn Massey earned All-America honors as she finished 23rd in the discus with a throw of 49.90m/163-8. Her finish concluded the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the Tigers.

 🔼 Schedule’s Set. The 2026 Auburn soccer schedule is here! The schedule features 17 regular-season matches, with nine at the Auburn Soccer Complex. All home matches are free and open to the public. The season officially begins on Aug. 14 when Clemson comes to The Plains.

🐅 ONE BIG THING

Forever Auburn. Auburn men’s golfer Jackson Koivun will forgo his final collegiate season to join the PGA Tour this summer. He earned his Tour membership through the PGA Tour U Accelerated program and will make his debut at the 2026 John Deere Classic, July 1-5. Koivun leaves Auburn as the program’s all-time leader in wins and many other records. He was also named Golfweek’s Amateur Player of the Year on Friday.
