🎥 TALKING TIGERS

She was coming to Auburn to play golf when the program was dropped. When women’s golf returned, Virginia Derby was the first recruit. Derby went on to coach at Auburn, and embarked on a spectacular career in amateur golf. Virginia Derby Grimes has won the Alabama Amateur and the Alabama Senior Amateur. She was part of winning teams in the Curtis Cup as a player and a captain. After a 13-year span away from the game, the Alabama Sports Hall of Famer has returned to competitive golf.

🔼 Take A Peek. The SEC announced television windows for the 2026 football season! The Tigers will play Vanderbilt and Georgia in the afternoon window, while the rest of the games will be played in the early or flex windows.

🔼 World Class. Auburn track & field’s Ja’Kobe Tharp wrote his name in the history books on Wednesday, breaking the world record in the men’s 110m hurdles semifinal with a 12.75 time at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. He advanced to today’s championship along with the 4×100m relay squad, Kayinsola Ajayi, Israel Okon, Devin Nugent and Omari Lewis. The 4×100m relay team broke the collegiate record with a 37.75 time.

 🔼 Finished Strong. Auburn’s Megan Hague earned her second consecutive first-team All-America honor in the women’s shot put at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Teammate Marley Raikiwasa also earned All-America honors in the shot put, while the women’s 4x100m relay team finished 16th. Freshman Sophia Mazzoni placed 17th in the javelin, and Norah Lind finished 20th in the hammer throw.
