Good Morning, Auburn Family. No. 9 Women’s tennis earned its fifth trip to the NCAA Sweet 16 in program history on Saturday, defeating No. 24 Wisconsin 4-1 to claim the NCAA Auburn Regional. The Tigers claimed the doubles point followed by straight set singles wins from Alice Battesti, Merna Refaat and Ava Hrastar to punch their ticket to the super regional round. The win improved Auburn’s overall record to 25-6 this season and matches the furthest postseason finish in program history.

Up next, Auburn will travel to Durham, North Carolina, to face No. 8 Duke in the NCAA Super Regional this Friday, May 9, at 4 p.m. CT.

🔼 One Win in a Series. Christian Chatterton and Cade Fisher combined to hold No. 7 Tennessee to one run on four hits as No. 5 Auburn Baseball won the seven-inning finale, 8-1, to claim the series at Lindsey Nelson Stadium Sunday afternoon.

Auburn (33-15, 13-11 SEC) fell in extra innings in the resumption of game two earlier in the day but bounced back to win their sixth SEC series this season, including the second on the road. The Tigers have won eight of their last 10 conference series dating back to last season and are the only team in the league to accomplish the feat.

🔼 Need a Win? NP! In a repeat performance of Friday night, Nelia Peralta walked off a run-rule victory in sixth innings Sunday at Jane B. Moore Field as the Auburn softball team (32-21) took down NC State (25-29) 8-0 to wrap up the regular season. Four of Auburn’s last five wins have all come via shutouts. Three of the five have been one-hit efforts from the Tiger pitching staff.  

The Tigers used another shutdown pitching performance, this time from Haley Rainey (7-4), who shined on Senior Day with a one-hit shutout. She gave up one double and a pair of walks, going the distance for the first time this season. She struck out four in the start.

🔼 Time to Knock On Wood. The No. 17 Auburn women’s golf team will play for a chance to punch its ticket to the 2025 NCAA Championship this week at the NCAA Gold Canyon Regional at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club in Gold Canyon, Arizona. The 54-hole event will be played today through Wednesday and the top five teams in the 12-team field will advance.

At the SEC Championship, Auburn was led by sophomore Anna Davis and redshirt junior Carys Worby, who both finished the stroke play portion of the event in a tie for 13^th place.

🔼 I-OK is A-OK. The Auburn track & field team closed out the regular season with a strong showing from the sprints crew at the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Two of the Tigers' three wins came from the sprints crew. In addition to the three event wins, the team delivered six collegiate personal best performances.  

The Tigers’ 4x100m relay team demonstrated its depth by winning the event with a new combination of sprinters, clocking the fourth fastest time in the NCAA this year (38.49). Israel Okon dominated the field in the 100m dash, clocking a wind-aided time of 9.91 to take gold. Alyssa Quinones-Mixon earned a PR in women’s pole vault, improving her standings as the second-best performer in school history.
