Bodda Getta Brew 5/30: Tilly Tigers Tournament Talk

No. 4 Tigers BSB will start sophomore Cam Tilly tonight against Central Connecticut State in the Auburn Regional opener.

Good Morning, Auburn Family. Hosting an NCAA regional for the third time in four years, No. 4 Auburn will start sophomore Cam Tilly tonight at 6 p.m. CT against Central Connecticut State in the Tigers’ tournament opener. Tilly, who entered Auburn’s weekend rotation April 27 against Mississippi State, will make his sixth start of the season.

“He’s trended better and better and better, and I think he’s ready for this,” Auburn coach Butch Thompson said. “We have the confidence and trust in him.”

There has been an eight-day gap between Auburn’s SEC Tournament game and the Tigers’ regional matchup with the Blue Devils, so the team is rested and ready to go.

🐅 ONE BIG THING

Double-A Does It Again. Behind one of the best freshman campaigns recorded by a Tiger, Auburn softball’s AnnaLea Adams was named to D1 Softball’s Freshman All-America Second Team.

The honor is just one of many accolades the Liberty, Indiana, native has collected this postseason. Earlier this month, Adams became the first Auburn freshman to earn All-SEC First Team honors. She also added 2025 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Gulf Region First Team honors to become the first Auburn freshman to do so since Kasey Cooper in 2014.
