🔼 Road to Omaha Runs Through Auburn. The Auburn baseball team earned a regional host bid for the third time in the last four seasons, the NCAA announced Sunday night.

The Tigers are one of seven programs to earn a regional host bid in at least three of the last four seasons. The other programs include Arkansas, Clemson, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Oregon State and Tennessee.

“It’s an extremely short list of teams that have hosted three of the last four regionals, and we’re honored to be a part of it,” Auburn coach Butch Thompson said.

The Auburn Regional will be held Friday through Monday (if necessary) at Plainsman Park. The complete NCAA baseball tournament bracket, including national seeds and who the Tigers will welcome to Plainsman Park, will be announced today at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN2.

🔼 Ping Me When We Win. Six Tigers were named to the PING All-Southeast Region Team for the first time in program history. Carson Bacha, Billy Davis, Josiah Gilbert, Jackson Koivun, Cayden Pope and Brendan Valdes make up Auburn’s largest all-region class ever.

Valdes earned his third consecutive all-region nod. Bacha and Koivun received the honor for the second time in their respective careers. Davis, Gilbert and Pope are first-time selections.

PING All-Region serves as a prerequisite to PING All-American honors. This year, players across six regions and 82 schools earned all-region. Before 2025, Auburn’s record for honorees in a single season was five, which happened in 2012 and 2015.

🔼 Running Into Summer Like... Auburn track & field begins the road to the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with the NCAA East Preliminaries in Jacksonville, Florida, May 28-31, on the University of North Florida campus.  

A total of 32 Auburn track & field athletes will compete in 19 individual events along with two relays to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon June 11-14. The men’s team will send 16 competitors, while the women’s team will send 14. Of the 30 competing, 12 Tigers have competed previously at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
