Auburn returned to Plainsman Park for the final homestand of the regular season. The Tigers honored former big leaguer and 2015 American League MVP Josh Donaldson with his induction onto the Plainsman Park Wall of Fame, while also celebrating the legacy of beloved late play-by-play voice Rod Bramblett.

The weekend concluded with Auburn closing out the series with a win on its home field.

🔼 Viva Las Vegas. The Players Era has released the eight-team bracket for its second annual tournament in Las Vegas and Auburn will face West Virginia in the opening round on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

Introducing a new format this year in a true winner’s bracket tournament, Auburn or West Virginia will play the winner of Kansas and UNLV in the semifinals.

The other half of the bracket features Florida vs. Notre Dame and Houston vs. Rutgers.

🔼 Fridy Night Lights. After a thrilling 3-1 win over LSU in the SEC Tournament opener on Wednesday night, the sixth-ranked Auburn Tigers return to the field in Hoover tonight to take on third-seeded Texas A&M in the quarterfinals.

The two teams met earlier this month in College Station with Auburn taking two-of-three from the Aggies, including an 18-5 rout in game one of the series.

The event is free for all to attend with light appetizers being provided.

🔼 Punching Tickets. The road to the NCAA Championships start now.

On Thursday, the NCAA announced all the qualifiers for the first round of postseason action, the NCAA East Preliminaries in Lexington, Kentucky, set to take place from May 27-30.

Auburn earned a total of 32 bids by 28 athletes who will compete in 19 individual events along with two relays to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, June 10-13 at Hayward Field.  The men’s team will send 16 competitors, while the women’s team will send 12.
