🎥 WAREAGLE+: THE FLIGHT

The Flight - Men's Basketball (S. 2, Ep. 8)
In the second part of the season finale, The Flight takes you inside Auburn’s unforgettable journey to the Final Four. Experience the raw emotion as the Tigers turn SEC Tournament heartbreak into postseason fire. With unprecedented access and behind-the-scenes moments, this episode offers an unfiltered look at the resilience that defined Auburn Basketball’s historic run.

🔼 SOS in Action. The No. 5 Auburn baseball team (31-14, 11-10 SEC) is set to prove its strength of schedule once again. Facing its fifth top-10 opponent in the last six weeks, the team travels to Knoxville to take on No. 7 Tennessee (36-9 13-8 SEC) today through Sunday. First pitches are scheduled for tonight at 5:30 p.m. CT, Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at noon.

🗣 “It’s not who we play but how we play. That’ll be important this week. The blessing of our schedule is that we’ve seen everything. We’ve been on the road. We’ve played on turf. I think we’re tested.” - Butch Thompson, head coach

🔼 A++. Growing up on the family farm in Liberty, Indiana, AnnaLea Adams balanced complementary commitments: cattle in the barn and a batting cage in the backyard.

“We are built different, we truly are,” Adams said of farm kids.

Basketball, of course, was also part AnnaLea’s Hoosier state upbringing.

“We spent all summer shooting around in the barnyard,” Adams recalled. “We have an old pig lot that we made into a basketball court.”

After her freshman year in high school, Adams focused solely on softball, a decision that helped her achieve the No. 10 national ranking in her recruiting class, resulting in scholarship offers from coast to coast.

Adams’ path to the Plains began Sept. 1, 2022, when former Auburn coach Mickey Dean called to invite AnnaLea, then a high school junior, to visit campus.

🔼 Sun Begins to Set On Softball Season. In the final weekend of the regular season, Auburn softball (30-21) welcomes NC State (25-27) for a three-game series at Jane B. Moore Field

The series opens tonight at 6 p.m. CT. Saturday is Senior Day and the graduating seniors will be honored at Jane B. Moore Field. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. CT. Sunday’s series finale is slated for 1 p.m. CT. In honor of May the Fourth, fans can receive a free Auburn softball Star Wars shirt.

🔼 Above and Beyond. Auburn Gymnast Sophia Groth and Swimming and Diving’s Andrew Simmons were named the Tigers’ recipients of the Brad Davis Community Service Award. The SEC announced male and female winners for each of its 16 member institutions.

The SEC Community Service Post-Graduate Scholarship is named for former Associate Commissioner Brad Davis. Before succumbing to cancer in 2006, Davis had been a member of the SEC staff since 1988, first serving as an assistant commissioner until 1994 when he was promoted to associate commissioner.
