Bodda Getta Brew 5/16: Sun Sets on Comeback Crew

After numerous come-from-behind wins, Auburn Softball finally saw its season come to an end in the championship contest.

Good Morning, Auburn Family. Auburn softball’s (35-24) offense came alive to take an 8-3 win Sunday afternoon at JoAnne Graf Field to force the if necessary game at the Tallahassee Regional, but the Tigers stumbled 4-0 to (5) Florida State (49-10) in the championship contest.

Auburn totaled 13 hits across the two games, including seven two-out base hits in Sunday’s opening contest to help push across crucial runs. SJ Geurin was the hero of the afternoon in the circle. She allowed just six hits to hold Florida State to a .170 average at the plate. She struck out five on Sunday.

🗣 “This weekend was indicative of how they battled throughout the season. Obviously, I wished we could have finished it off today but truly proud of the way they fought. It’s been a fun year.” - Chris Malveaux, co-head coach
