⚾ SEC Freshman of the Week
🐅 And much, much more!
🎙️ TALKING TIGERS
He came to Auburn from Mobile and didn’t get to play for the coach who recruited him. Josh Donaldson thought he would be a college shortstop. For the most part he played at third base until he came back from the summer Alaska league. Head Coach Tom Slater asked him to move behind the plate for his junior year. He flourished there and was drafted by the Cubs. Donaldson made his major league debut with Oakland and was traded to Toronto. In his first year with the Blue Jays he was named American Most Valuable Player. Donaldson will have his jersey join Frank Thomas, Tim Hudson, Gregg Olson and Bo Jackson on Auburn’s Wall of Fame this weekend.
