Auburn Baseball's Dylan Watts pitched a season-high 3.1 innings en route to defeating No. 15 Georgia Tech 9-8 Tuesday night

Good Morning, Auburn Family. The No. 9 Auburn baseball team scored four runs in the last three innings and Dylan Watts pitched a season-high 3.1 innings en route to defeating No. 15 Georgia Tech 9-8 Tuesday night at Russ Chandler Stadium.

The win marked Auburn’s sixth one-run win and ninth win vs. a ranked opponent this season, including its fourth ranked win on the road.

“I think we’ve been through enough situations now with this team that whatever happens, I think we can settle and make pitches,” head coach Butch Thompson said.

🔼 Blazer Saddles … Just Go With It. In the final midweek contests at Jane B. Moore Field this season, Auburn softball (24-15) hosts UAB (16-21) for a doubleheader tonight. The first game will begin at 3:30 p.m. CT. Game two will follow approximately 35 minutes after the conclusion of game one. 

Auburn leads the all-time series with a 16-2 record, which includes 13 consecutive wins over the Blazers. The Tigers have won the last four games via run-rule.

🔼 Can’t Rein Them In. Seven members of the No. 2 Auburn equestrian team combined for 10 Ariat All-America honors.

The 10 recognitions are the most by any school in the NCEA this year and the most for the program since the 2021-22 season. Five Jumping Seat riders earned national recognition, while two Western competitors were honored for their efforts.

In his 12 seasons as head coach of football at Auburn, Pat Dye led the Tigers to a 99-39-4 record and won four SEC Championships in 1983, '87, '88 and '89. 

Dye was instrumental in bringing the Iron Bowl to Auburn for the first time in 1989, a game which the Tigers won, 30-20, and is considered one of the most important events in the history of the program.

He was a three-time SEC coach of the year in 1983, '87, and '89 and was national coach of the year in 1983.
