🔼 Tigers > Tide. After falling by a run in the late stages of game one of Saturday’s doubleheader, No. 14 Auburn responded to defeat No. 8 Alabama 7-5 in game two, securing its second straight series against the Crimson Tide.
The series win marked Auburn’s third of four to start SEC play and was the team’s seventh winning weekend in eight weeks to start the season.

The Auburn softball team scored two unanswered runs as SJ Geurin silenced Kentucky’s offense in relief to carry the Tigers to a 2-1 road win and series victory Saturday—the 17th come-from-behind victory for the Tigers, which leads the country. It was Auburn’s first series win in Lexington since sweeping the Wildcats in 2016.
Six of Auburn’s nine starters recorded hits in the contest, but it was Geurin that powered Auburn to the victory. In her five innings of relief, she allowed just two hits while striking out three Wildcats to improve to 17-7 in the circle.

🔼 When They Go Low, We Go Lower. The Auburn men’s golf team picked up its fourth tournament win of the season Saturday at the Mason Rudolph Championship. After starting the week eight shots back of the lead, the No. 2 Tigers dug in and went low, firing a round’s best 16-under on Saturday to soar up the leaderboard and win by five strokes.
Auburn’s final round tally of 268 (-16) was the best round of the day by seven. The Tigers finished at 38-under 814, marking the team’s third win in the last four events.

🔼 Davis Days Continue. Auburn sophomore Anna Davis finished in a tie for 11th place at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur on Saturday after shooting 4-under 212 over three rounds. After making the 36-hole cut on Thursday, Davis carded a final round 2-under 70 at historic Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

Auburn distance sensation Brenda Jepchirchir clocked 4:17.59 in the women’s 1500m invite Saturday to break the program's freshman record, highlighting a strong showing for the track & field team at the Florida Pepsi Relays. Jepchirchir’s time of 4:17.59 broke Brenda Kigen’s record of 4:25.19 from 2017. She finished sixth overall and placed fifth on Auburn’s Outdoor Top Performers List in the event.
