Auburn MBB’s Johni Broome garnered more postseason accolades with a spot on the prestigious 2025 John R. Wooden Award® All-America Team.
Good Morning, Auburn Family. Auburn MBB’s Johni Broome continues to ride the wave of a historic season for the NCAA South Regional and SEC champion Tigers as he garnered more postseason accolades with a spot on the prestigious 2025 John R. Wooden Award® All-America Team and was one of five players recognized as frontrunners for one of college basketball’s most esteemed honors – The Los Angeles Athletic Club’s Wooden Award® for the Most Outstanding Player in the U.S.
Broome is the third player in program history to be honored on the John R. Wooden Award® All-America Team next to the likes of Jabari Smith (2022) and Chris Porter (1999).

🔼 This Is What It’s All About. The Auburn basketball team departed Wednesday for the Final Four the same way it arrived three days earlier, amid much fanfare.
With hundreds of cheering fans lined up outside Neville Arena, the team reverse Tiger walked to the bus that drove them to Montgomery, where they boarded a charter flight for San Antonio, Texas.
Sixty hours earlier, hundreds of Auburn University students and fans greeted the Tigers when they returned from Atlanta after defeating Michigan State 70-64 to win the NCAA Tournament South Regional.

War Eagle on the River Walk – Friday at 6 p.m. (210 West Market Street)
Welcome to San Antonio – the Alamo City! Join us for the exclusive “War Eagle on the River Walk” welcome party at the Briscoe Western Art Museum on the eve of the Final Four. This official Auburn welcome party will be an incredible evening, featuring a Tex-Mex buffet, full open bar, late night snacks, photo opportunities, mariachi and live music from “Main Attraction Band” from 6 p.m. to midnight. Fewer than 500 tickets remain – don’t wait to purchase!

🔼 Challenge Accepted. The Auburn men’s tennis team is set to play two road matches this week, facing rival Alabama tonight at 6 p.m. CT and No. 12 Mississippi State on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT.
The Tigers enter tonight’s match having won six of their last seven matches, most recently defeating Arkansas 4-2 at home on Saturday. The squad celebrated its final regular-season home match at the Yarbrough Tennis Center on Saturday with a win, securing a tightly contested doubles point before earning three singles victories from Will Nolan, Billy Blaydes and Nicholas Heng.
