🎙️ TALKING TIGERS

The reigning World Cup champions are coming to the Plains. On June 9, Argentina and Lionel Messi will play Iceland in a World Cup Friendly at Jordan-Hare Stadium. This will occur just before the World Cup, hosted by the United States. Rhett Hobart, Deputy AD for External Affairs and Chief Revenue Officer, talks preparation for the first-ever soccer match at Jordan-Hare Stadium and how it came to be. 🔼 Bomb Squad. Auburn baseball’s Eric Guevara and Ethin Bingaman were honored for their standout performances in the series win against Oklahoma. Guevara, named SEC Player of the Week, led the team with nine hits and nine RBI, extending his hitting streak to 17 games. Bingaman, earning SEC Co-Freshman of the Week, hit three home runs in the series-clinching game, marking the first three-homer game by an Auburn freshman.

🔼 We’re In! Auburn women’s tennis earned the No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA Championship! The Tigers will host the NCAA opening rounds at the Yarbrough Tennis Center. They will face Bryant in the first round, with the winner advancing to play the winner of Miami (FL) and North Florida.

🔼 Welcome To The Family. Auburn men’s basketball signed George Kimble III, a combo guard who missed last season due to injury. He brings scoring ability and defensive intensity to the backcourt.

🔼 Forever Grateful. Six Tigers were drafted to the NFL over the weekend! Keldric Faulk, Keyron Crawford, Connor Lew, Jeremiah Wright and Bobby Jamison-Travis all expressed their love and gratitude for Auburn. Check out what they had to say here.

Mark Your Calendars. Former Auburn baseball player and MLB MVP Josh Donaldson will be inducted into the Auburn Baseball Wall of Fame during the Georgia series, May 14-16. Donaldson, a three-year Auburn player, had a stellar MLB career, winning the 2015 AL MVP award and playing for several teams. He joins four inaugural members of the Wall of Fame: Tim Hudson, Bo Jackson, Gregg Olson, and Frank Thomas.
