🎙️ TALKING TIGERS

George Courides played football until he sustained a knee injury. When he went to college, he was introduced to rugby. That became his sport at East Stroudsburg. From high school as a coach and teacher, he made the transition into strength and conditioning. From a stint in the NFL, he made his way to Iowa State and eventually worked with Alex Golesh. He became the head strength and conditioning coach at USF with Golesh and came to the Plains as Director of Football Performance.

🔼 King Koivun! Men’s golfer Jackson Koivun won The Ford Collegiate, leading Auburn to a second-place finish. Koivun defeated Christiaan Maas in a playoff after both finished at 13-under-par. Auburn finished runner-up to Texas, improving to 53-17-1 against ranked opponents this season.

🔼 Near Perfection. No. 6 Auburn baseball defeated Alabama State 13-0 in a run-rule victory, highlighted by four two-run home runs and a perfect game until the seventh inning. Eric Guevara led the offense with two home runs and five RBIs, while Griffin Graves pitched a strong first career start. Auburn will begin play at No. 6 Florida on Thursday.

🔼  On The Plains. Senior equestrian rider Elizabeth Klein has been a dedicated member of Auburn’s equestrian team. After two years on the club team, she walked on to the varsity team, where she has provided depth in Jumping Seat and formed strong bonds with her teammates. Klein credits her success to her work ethic, determination, and the support of her teammates and coaches.

“Find something to be grateful for, even on the hardest days. Find something that can help push you onto the next day. Take each day as it comes and just find something to be grateful for.”

- Elizabeth Klein
