The No. 9 Auburn baseball team finished off its first sweep of the LSU Tigers since 1988 with a 3-2 win Sunday afternoon at Plainsman Park.

Good Morning, Auburn Family. The No. 9 Auburn baseball team jumped out to an early lead and held No. 3 LSU to its lowest hit total of the season, finishing off its first sweep of the Tigers since 1988 with a 3-2 win Sunday afternoon at Plainsman Park. The series also marked Auburn’s first sweep against a top-five team since doing so against Florida in 2017.

🗣 “Our guys came together and played great, sound baseball in every facet. Our crowd, the largest series at home, it all just came together and synced up this weekend. I love to see them have a moment like this.” - Butch Thompson, head coach

🔼 Next Step: Changing Her Name to McWalk-Off. Trailing by two in bottom of the seventh, Auburn softball (27-15, 4-14 SEC) scored six runs with help of a walk-off grand slam from KK McCrary to take down No. 19 Georgia (27-15, 5-12 SEC) 8-4 Sunday at Jane B. Moore Field, securing back-to-back Southeastern Conference series wins

The win was the 19th come-from-behind win of the season for the Tigers, which leads the nation. Auburn closed the series with 10 home runs, the most in a three-game series since hitting nine versus South Carolina in 2022. It was McCrary’s second walk-off home run of the series.

🔼 Great Spring Football Preview, A? Concluding spring practice on a sunny Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium, the Auburn football team combined individual and team periods before finishing with a red zone scrimmage on A-Day.

With only two scholarship quarterbacks splitting spring practice reps before transfer Ashton Daniels arrives this summer, both passers benefited, head coach Hugh Freeze says.
