Bodda Getta Brew 3/4: MBB Rests On Laurels? No Way.
Auburn MBB coach Bruce Pearl and the Tigers look to snag the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, first facing Texas A&M on the road.
Good Morning, Auburn Family. With an opportunity to run the table by going 9-0 in SEC road games, the chance of No.1 Auburn letting up after clinching the outright SEC championship is less than zero.
“Absolutely not,” Auburn coach Bruce Pearl said. “We’ve got a lot to play for, trying to be a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The possibility of being undefeated on the road this year is incredible.”
Tonight’s late show at No. 22 Texas A&M could provide a fifth top 25 SEC road win. The No. 1 Tigers (27-2, 15-1) play the No. 22 Aggies (20-9, 9-7) at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN in College Station, Texas.

🎥 WAREAGLE+: TALKING TIGERS

Talking Tigers - John Cohen
A new video board will be part of north endzone renovation at Jordan-Hare Stadium. There is the 984 Club, Broadway Club and War Eagle Wall at Plainsman Park. These are just a few of the facility upgrades on the Auburn Athletics campus. In addition, improvements are coming to the Auburn Soccer Complex, Jane B. Moore Field and Neville Arena. All of this is the landscape of NIL.
These are just a few of the topics we discussed with Auburn’s Director of Athletics John Cohen in the Talking Tigers Podcast.

🔼 The Tigers Are … Checks Notes … Killing It. Auburn outscored opponents 43-19 in four games last week, including 28-11 in three games in Arlington. The weekend marked just the third time in the last 14 seasons Auburn has won three games played away from home against power conference opponents. With 13 hits against Samford and Ohio State, the Tigers collected 13 or more hits in five straight games dating back to the Wright State series. It marked the first time since 1998 the program had recorded 13 or more hits in five straight games. Auburn’s 13-0 win against Ohio State Friday was the largest margin of victory against a power conference opponent since defeating Florida State 21-7 in game two of the 2022 Auburn Regional.

🔼 Let’s Talk About the Weather. Due to the weather forecast in the Birmingham area tonight, the originally scheduled game between No. 20 Auburn (11-1) and UAB (9-2) at Regions Field has been postponed until tomorrow (Wednesday, March 5) at 5:30 p.m. CT.
Tickets for Tuesday’s originally scheduled game are good for Wednesday’s rescheduled contest and be purchased here.

🔼 Gilbert Goes Low. No. 2 Auburn men's golf sits in first with a three-stroke lead following Monday's middle round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate thanks to another impressive outing by sophomore Josiah Gilbert.
Gilbert carded a 3-under 69 to bring his weekly score to 5-under. He ranks second individually, trailing only UNLV's Caden Fioroni by five.
Three other Tigers sit inside the top ten heading into Tuesday's finale. Senior Ryan Eshleman (E) is in fifth, senior Carson Bacha (+1) is in sixth and senior Brendan Valdes (+2) is in eighth.

🔼 B2B Baseball Honors. After playing a pivotal role in Auburn’s four wins last week, including its sweep of the field in Arlington, Texas, Chris Rembert has been named the SEC Co-Freshman of the Week. It marks the second straight week an Auburn freshman has taken home the award after Bub Terrell earned the recognition last week.
Rembert hit .385 (5-for-13) and reached base at a .529 clip with a slugging percentage of 1.000 for the week. Four of his five hits were for extra bases, including two doubles and two home runs, and he ranked tied for second in the league with 10 RBI.

🔼 Birdies’ Eye View. Auburn redshirt junior Carys Worby led the Tigers through the opening round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on Monday in Hilton Head, South Carolina, after firing a round of 1-under (70).
As a team, Auburn shot 10-over (294) on Monday and is in eighth place in the strong field of 17 teams. The Tigers made 10 birdies as a team during the opening round and are six strokes behind the tournament leader, No. 2 Arkansas. Auburn finished Monday’s round three shots ahead No. 14 Mississippi State and four shots ahead of No. 10 Northwestern.
