Bodda Getta Brew 3/18: Breaking News From the Bump

Right-handed pitcher Andreas Alvarez has been named the SEC Co-Freshman of the Week after his pair of relief appearances in wins last week.

It marks the third time through five weeks this season that an Auburn freshman has earned the distinction after Bub Terrell and Chris Rembert also received the recognition.

After making midweek starts the first three weeks of the season, Alvarez was moved to a relief role to open SEC play and turned in a combined 6.0 scoreless innings in wins against UT Martin and No. 13 Vanderbilt.
