Good Morning, Auburn Family. Johni Broome and Dylan Cardwell delivered double-doubles and all five starters scored in double figures to lead No. 1 Auburn to a 92-82 win over No. 23 Ole Miss Saturday at SJB Pavilion, the Tigers’ 13th consecutive victory.

Broome scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Cardwell added 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds to lead Auburn to its eighth ranked win and 13th Quad-1 victory of the season.

🔼 Down Goes Oklahoma State. No. 10 Women’s tennis upset No. 3 Oklahoma State by a 4-0 score on Saturday afternoon in front of nearly 250 supporters at the Yarbrough Tennis Center. The win marks the highest-ranked win since 2007 for Auburn and extended its winning streak to eight to begin the Jordan Szabo coaching era.

The Tigers claimed the doubles point and claimed singles wins on courts six, five and three to complete the shutout. Junior Angella Okutoyi came back from losing her opening set to win and clinch the historic team victory.

🔼 Right On Course. No. 20 Auburn finished the first day of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in a tie for fifth place in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, on Sunday. Junior Katie Cranston and freshman Dávalos Guaita led the team with rounds of 1-under (71). The Tigers are seven strokes behind the tournament leader, No. 15 Vanderbilt.

Anna Davis, Casey Weidenfeld and Carys Worby recorded rounds of 74 (+2) for the Tigers and are each in a tie for 35^th individually. Davis’ round was off to a very hot start with birdies on each of her first three holes of the day.

🔼 Setting the Gold Standard. The Auburn track & field team continued its impressive indoor campaign competing Friday and Saturday at the Bob Pollock Invitational in Clemson, South Carolina.  

The Tigers took home gold in four different events and had 12 collegiate personal best performances over the weekend.

🔼 W Column - ✅. The Auburn men’s tennis team got back in the win column on Friday night, defeating Middle Tennessee State 4-3 in front of a rowdy crowd in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. With the score tied at three, Auburn freshman Alex Frusina pulled out a three-set victory at the No. 2 singles position to deliver the Tigers to victory.

🗣 “It was obviously really important to get that doubles point. Billy [Blaydes] and Will [Nolan] coming back from down a break set the momentum for how we wanted to go into singles. MTSU is a tough team with a tough crowd.” Bobby Reynolds, head coach

🔼 Hardwood Heartache. Auburn’s DeYona Gaston topped the 30-point mark for the fourth time this season, but the Tigers came up short in a hard-fought battle with No. 2 South Carolina, falling 83-66 Sunday afternoon.

With a 31-point performance, Gaston became the first player in Auburn history with four 30-point games in the same season, and it was the most points scored against South Carolina by an opposing player this year.

This Guy Hoops in 3D. In Saturday’s big win over Ole Miss, Tahaad Pettiford contributed nine points and a game-high five assists on his way to a team-best plus-17. Impactful, indeed.
