🎙️ TALKING TIGERS

Coming out of the J. O. Johnson High School in Huntsville, Ree Ree Hobbs was the Gatorade Alabama Player of the Year. She followed her sister to Auburn and played on an SEC Championship team in 2009. Injuries cut her playing career short. Now, Reneisha Bolden serves on the Women’s Basketball staff as the Director of Student Success

🔼 Auburn Remembers. Legendary Auburn sports journalist Phillip Marshall passed away at 76. Marshall covered Auburn Athletics for over 50 years and he was known for his human touch, objectivity and deep relationships with coaches and athletes. His passing leaves a void in Auburn sports journalism, with many remembering his passion, honesty, and dedication to his craft.

🔼 As Seen On TV. Auburn softball will appear in seven nationally televised broadcasts during the 2026 season, including six SEC games and a matchup against Clemson. Every home game will be broadcast live, with additional coverage available through various streaming services.

🔼 Fell Short. Auburn women’s basketball fell to No. 13 Ole Miss 71-45 in Birmingham last night. Harissoum Coulibaly led the Tigers with 11 points. The Rebels owned the glass, out-rebounding the Tigers 51-23. Auburn’s defense recorded 14 steals, leading to 12 points on 15 Ole Miss turnovers. The Tigers will play at Florida on Thursday.

Above & Beyond. Auburn NCAA champion and current International Olympic Committee President Kirsty Coventry has been awarded the Charles McCaffree Award by the CSCAA. The award recognizes Coventry’s outstanding success beyond the pool, exemplifying leadership and service. Her achievements include becoming the most decorated Olympian from Africa and her contributions to global sport through various organizations and initiatives.
