🎙️ TALKING TIGERS

He hadn’t considered Auburn till his legendary father mentioned the Tigers should be on his list. Gregg Olson’s official visit to The Plains resulted in a three-game sweep of Mississippi State with Will Clark & Rafael Palmeiro. The Bulldogs were in his final three teams. At Auburn, Olson became an All-American closer. He was inducted into the College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2021. Because it was a COVID year, he was recently recognized by the hall. He’ll be recognized this weekend at Plainsman Park when the Tigers host Nebraska.

🔼 Hump Day. The seventh-ranked Auburn baseball team will host West Georgia tonight at 6 p.m. CT to begin a nine-game homestand. Loretta the Camel is back at Plainsman Park for hump day! It’s also Diamond Deal Day, featuring $2.50 hot dogs and $5 domestic brews. Tonight’s game will stream on SEC Network+.

🔼 Fell Short. Auburn men’s basketball fell at Oklahoma 91-70. Kevin Overton made a splash in his home state, scoring 26 points. Oklahoma’s strong outside shooting, making 13 of 19 3-pointers, proved decisive. The Tigers will host Ole Miss on Saturday.
