Auburn Baseball prepares to embark on the 2025 season with a new look to Plainsman Park, Ike Irish is mic'd up for a home run derby, and Cade Belyeu took the field to play for something bigger than baseball.

🔼 All “Four” One. For the first time since 2017, Auburn women’s tennis has reached No. 4 in the nation, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The ranking ties the highest rank by the ITA in program history. The Tigers hold an impressive 11-1 overall record, with the lone loss coming to No. 1 Georgia, heading into conference play on Sunday.

Auburn defeated its first ranked opponent of the season, No. 11 USC, in Los Angeles on Jan. 25 to punch a ticket to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship. The team then recorded its highest ranked win since 2007 by shutting out then-No. 3 Oklahoma State at home by a 4-0 score.

🔼 Overachievers? Nah, Just Right. In conjunction with PNC Bank and the PNC Achievers program, Auburn announced Sophia Groth (Gymnastics) and Luke Deal (Football) as the winners of the Fall 2024 PNC Achievers Awards on Wednesday.

“Sophia and Luke epitomize what it means to be an Auburn woman and Auburn man,” athletic director John Cohen said. “High academic achievers, who have excelled in leadership and community involvement while competing at an elevated athletic standard.”

🔼 Softball Sweata Weatha. No. 20 Auburn softball (11-0) makes the short trek to Madison, Alabama, this weekend to take part in the inaugural Rocket City Showcase at Toyota Field, home to Minor League Baseball’s Rocket City Trash Pandas.

Freezing temperatures and wintry mix in the Huntsville-Madison area have already altered Auburn’s schedule for the weekend. See the “On the Docket” section below.

🔼 Challenge Accepted. The No. 11 Auburn gymnastics team continues its road swing, traveling to rival and No. 17 Alabama for a contest tonight in Coleman Coliseum. The Tigers and the Crimson Tide will face off at 7:30 p.m. CT in Tuscaloosa on SEC Network.

This youthful team has faced a wealth of adversity and tough environments this year and still have come away with solid scores and big performances. The Tigers boast the toughest schedule in the country according to College Gym News and those experiences are starting to pay off.
