🔼 High-Stakes Hoops. After earning Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week honors for helping No. 1 Auburn earn road wins at Vanderbilt and No. 2 Alabama, Denver Jones gets another opportunity to display his defensive and offensive skills tonight against Arkansas at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN.
Jones, the SEC player of the week, averaged 18.5 points to help the Tigers defeat the Commodores and the Crimson Tide while holding both teams’ leading scorers to 32.1-percent shooting from the field and 18.8 percent from 3-point range.
Two-thirds of the way through the 18-game SEC schedule, Auburn can remain in sole possession of first place with a win over the Razorbacks.
🏀 : SCOUTING REPORT

🔼 In Dramatic Fashion. After Cam Tilly and Jett Johnston turned in 5.0 scoreless and hitless innings in relief, Ike Irish hit a walk-off single in the ninth to lead No. 25 Auburn to a 7-6 win against No. 24 Troy Tuesday night at Plainsman Park.
“Tonight was one of those where I thought they competed their hearts out,” head coach Butch Thompson said. “If they would have come up short tonight, I think I’d have been OK with that. Better than the other two wins that we had, and they have to understand that.”
⚾️ : FULL RUNDOWN

🔼 Relaying Record-Breaking News. One race, one record. 🔼 Hey, Hey, It’s SJ. After a dominating performance at the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational, SJ Geurin put the softball world on notice and Softball America and D1 Softball rewarded her with national honors worthy of the weekend.
Softball America named the redshirt sophomore one of its Stars of the Week, while D1 Softball named Geurin its National Pitcher of the Week. D1 Softball also tabbed Geurin and Auburn utility athlete Icess Tresvik to its Clearwater Invitational All-Tournament Team.
Guerin is just one of four pitchers in the country to have six wins after the first two weeks of the season.

🔼 MakaMania in Perpetuity. Senior Makanakaishe Charamba of the Auburn track & field team was selected as the SEC’s Men’s Runner of the Week. Competing in his fourth meet for the Tigers, Charamba posted a time of 20.16 in the 200m to take gold at the Tiger Paw Invitational in Clemson, South Carolina.
His time is the world’s fastest indoor 200m time of the year and the eighth fastest 200m ever. Charamba’s 20.16 broke U.S. Olympian’s Coby Miller’s previous record of 20.50, set in 2000. The Harare, Zimbabwe native delivered the fastest 200m ever by an SEC runner in the regular season.
